Overview

How it works

Staying in touch with past and future customers matters, but writing a newsletter is easy to put off. The marketing email agent drafts a short, useful email for you each month, or whenever you ask, and holds it until you approve it. Nothing goes out without your say.

It writes only to people who opted in, usually by ticking a box like "Send me occasional tips" on your website. New subscribers get a welcome email right away. Anyone who unsubscribes is left off every future send.

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and your business's postal address, as CAN-SPAM requires. In fact, the agent won't send a campaign until your postal address is set. Compliance isn't a checkbox here. It's built into the send button.

The drafts are plain and practical: one useful idea, written in your voice, with one clear next step. They use only facts you've approved, and they never quote prices or promise results.

What it looks like

A typical walkthrough

For example, here's a month of marketing email for a landscaping company.

  1. A visitor signs up

While filling in a quote request, a homeowner ticks "Send me occasional tips". A welcome email arrives shortly after, saying what to expect and how to unsubscribe.

  2. The monthly draft appears

At the start of the month, the agent writes a draft about preparing lawns for fall, with a gentle invitation to book a cleanup. It sits in the dashboard marked as a draft.

  3. The owner adds a detail

The owner reads it, changes the subject line, and adds a sentence about the company's leaf pickup routes. Edits are saved with the draft.

  4. One click to approve

The owner approves the email. It goes to every subscriber who opted in and hasn't unsubscribed, each copy with its own unsubscribe link and the business address.

  5. Someone unsubscribes

One recipient clicks unsubscribe. They're removed from all future campaigns and follow-up emails straight away.

  6. An extra campaign on demand

Mid-month, the owner types a short brief about a new snow removal service into the dashboard. The agent drafts an email from it, and it waits for approval like every other campaign.

Under the hood

How our system does it

  1. Opt-in subscribers only

The send list is built at the moment of sending from people who ticked the updates box and have an email address. Anyone on your opt-out list is excluded, every time.

  2. A welcome email on sign-up

When someone opts in, the agent sends one welcome email explaining what they'll receive and how to unsubscribe. It's sent once per subscriber.

  3. Drafted from approved facts

Campaigns are written by Claude, Anthropic's AI model, from your approved business knowledge and an optional brief. The rules are strict: plain language, under 200 words, one call to action, no prices, no promised results.

  4. Approval before any send

Automatic sending is off by default. Every draft waits in your dashboard, where you can edit the subject and body before you approve it.

  5. Postal address required

If your business postal address isn't set, the send is blocked with a clear message telling you to add it. Every email's footer carries your business name and address.

  6. One-click unsubscribe

Each recipient gets a personal, signed unsubscribe link that can't be forged for someone else. Where your email provider supports it, a List-Unsubscribe header lets mail apps show their own unsubscribe button too.

  7. Sent from your own email

Campaigns go through your Microsoft 365 mailbox, your SMTP account or Resend, so they come from your business and replies come back to you. Each send is logged per recipient, with failures recorded as failures.

What it does

What it does

  • Collects opt-ins on your site

Adds a clear, unticked updates checkbox to your forms, so people choose to subscribe.

  • Welcomes new subscribers

Sends one welcome email explaining what they'll get and how to leave.

  • Drafts a monthly campaign

Writes a short, useful email each month for you to review.

  • Drafts on demand

Turns a one-line brief from your dashboard into a ready-to-edit draft.

  • Waits for your approval

Holds every campaign until you approve it, with your edits.

  • Adds unsubscribe and address

Puts a one-click unsubscribe link and your postal address on every email.

  • Honors every opt-out

Leaves unsubscribed addresses off all future sends automatically.

  • Logs every send

Records who each campaign went to and whether each send succeeded.

What it can do for you

Why it helps

  • Regular contact without the blank page

A draft is ready each month, so staying in touch takes minutes to review instead of an evening to write.

  • A list built on permission

Everyone on it asked to hear from you, which keeps your emails welcome and your sender reputation healthy.

  • Confidence in what goes out

You approve every campaign, so nothing is sent in your name that you haven't read.

  • Fewer compliance worries

Unsubscribe links, postal address and opt-out handling are built into every send.

What you control

Your rules, your approvals

  • Approving, editing or skipping every campaign
  • Whether a draft is created automatically each month
  • Briefs for extra campaigns
  • Whether new subscribers get a welcome email
  • Your postal address and sender details
  • The approved knowledge drafts are written from

Who it's for

Is this a good fit?

  • Owners who want to stay in touch with customers but never find time to write
  • Businesses with seasonal services worth a timely reminder
  • Owners who want to approve every word sent in their name
  • Probably not the right fit if you want to email purchased lists or people who haven't opted in.

How we work

From first conversation to live

  1. Discovery

We talk about who you want to reach, what's genuinely useful to them, and how often you'd like to write. Scope and price are confirmed in writing after that short conversation.

  2. Setup on your business profile

We add the opt-in checkbox to your forms, set your postal address, sender and approved knowledge on your business profile, and write your welcome email.

  3. Test in safe mode

In safe mode, the welcome email and a first campaign are drafted and sent to a review log instead of real inboxes, so you can see exactly what subscribers will receive.

  4. Go live

We connect your email account, send a test campaign to your own address, and confirm the unsubscribe link and footer work end to end.

  5. Ongoing review

We review drafts and unsubscribes with you and refine topics, tone and timing as your list grows.

FAQ

Questions owners ask

Who receives the emails?

Only people who chose to subscribe, usually by ticking an updates box on your website, and who haven't unsubscribed since. The list is rebuilt at the moment of every send, so a recent unsubscribe is always respected.

Will anything go out without my approval?

No. Automatic sending is off by default, so every campaign waits in your dashboard. You can edit the subject and body before approving, or leave a draft unsent.

Why does it need my postal address?

US law (CAN-SPAM) requires commercial email to include a valid postal address. The agent won't send a campaign until it's set, so you can't miss it by accident.

Can I import my existing customer list?

Yes, for people who opted in to hear from you and where you have a record of that consent. We don't send to purchased lists or people who never asked.

Will the AI make claims about my business?

It writes only from the facts you've approved. It doesn't quote prices or promise results, and you read every draft before it's sent.

How often does it send?

It drafts one campaign a month by default, and you can ask for extra drafts any time. You decide whether and when each one goes out.
